EAST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
A large sinkhole led to a vehicle crash in Lancaster County on Wednesday night, according to dispatchers.
The sinkhole opened up on Harrisburg Pike between Hemlock Drive and Route 741/McGovernville Road in East Hempfield Township, just before 11 p.m.
Dispatch said at least two vehicles were involved in a crash, including an EMS vehicle.
One car overturned and flipped onto its roof.
No injuries have been reported.
According to the township, this is the same area where the Lancaster City Bureau of Water had a water main break on Monday.
Crews are at the scene working to repair the hole.
Road closed
All eastbound lanes of Harrisburg Pike are closed between Hemlock and Good drives, according to PennDOT.
The closure is expected to remain in place until 9 a.m. Friday, PennDOT reports.
